Established in 1999, The James C. Masie Memorial Golf Classic (aka the “JCM”) benefits The James C. Masie Memorial Scholarship Fund, a charity sponsored by Albert E. Baesel American Legion Post 91.  This Scholarship awards funds to a Berea High School student athlete who did not receive a scholarship from any other organizations. The recipient is chosen by the Berea High School staff and one member of The James C. Masie Memorial Scholarship Committee. The tournament is held every August and is named in honor of James C. Masie, a long time member of American Legion Post 91 and veteran of World War II.
